Life in Hollidaysburg
Title:  Life in Hollidaysburg
Description:  Once famous for the massive PRR/PC/Conrail car shops, Hollidaysburg is much quieter now. The shops are shut down except for a few smaller tenants, and miles of yard track are abandoned or used for long-term car storage during the recession. There is still a consignee, however; here the NS Cove Secondary turn from Altoona has come to town to serve the customer. The train is returning to Altoona and passing the old U.S. Hotel in Hollidaysburg.

Description:  As me and my Mom were on our way home from the doctors, I heard 2378 say something. When I heard it I noticed that it was on the branch channel. I then heard that they were going to be switching to the place down the track. We hurried up to the crossing at the Sugar Run Road (Also in Previous Picts) which I have stood at a few times. I got out and there it was!!!!!! My dream had came true! As the lights on the loco brightened up I knew that it was gonig to move and soon enough the gates went down and I heard the whistle. The cars at the beginning of the train are from Everett Railroad.
